As a sport itself, kayaking is a speed endurance exercise, which enhances the function of the cardiovascular system. It's also beneficial to the respiratory system since the negative ion content over water is 2 to 3 times larger than indoor sports.
Kayaking also effectively exercises the muscles of the body, especially shapes muscle of the shoulders, waist, and arm, which develops very good coordination.

About Folding Kayak
Folding kayak, also referred as origami kayak, foldable kayak, collapsible kayak, etc, is a boat that looks like are a regular kayak but can be folded for much easier storage and transportation.
The word "origami" originally means "paper folding" in Japanese. Now it's used as an inclusive term for all folding practices.
The goal is to transform a flat square sheet into a finished structure through folding and sculpting techniques, which is exactly how folding kayaks are made.

There are different folding kayaks made from plastic, wood, and aluminum. To make folding kayaks both durable and lightweight, Terravent has adopted a material called polypropylene into manufacturing.
Polypropylene is one of the most commonly produced plastics in the world. It is a weight-saving material with great toughness. One of the major benefits of this material is that it can be made into thin pieces of plastic that do not break when repeatedly bent.
Made of 5mm double-layered custom-extruded polypropylene, Terravent folding kayaks can be folded up to 2,000 times, which means if you go kayaking once a week, the folding kayak can last for nearly 10 years (except for violent damages).

Light, Compact and Portable
How light folding kayaks can be?
Take Terravent K2 - our smallest kayak - for example, it weighs 20.5lbs/9.3kg, which is the weight of 7-8 bottles of wine. When folded, it can be carried by hand like a suitcase.
Terravent K1 weighs 40lbs/18kg, which is the weight of 15 bottles of wine. It comes with a large backpack so you can carry it on the back with all its accessories.
Roof racks or kayak trailers are no longer needed when you own a folding kayak. Keeping it at home only takes a very small space.
Your kayaking life will be much easier with less burden.
WARRENTY
Performance with 1 year Warranty
Terravent folding kayaks allow you to enjoy paddling on calm water and choppy water.
When the water is choppy, there are a lot of small waves on it because there is a wind blowing.
The max wave rating for Terravent kayaks is Sea Breeze III. It means a condition when the wind speed is 7.5-12mph/12-19kmph and the waves are about 23.6"/60cm high.
The sailing speed of the kayak is 4.3-7.5mph/7-12 km/h. If you are riding the wind, it sails even faster.
A 1-year warranty is guaranteed for Terravent folding kayaks since the date of purchase. You may check our warranty policy here.
